Story
On Saturday 18th May, 26 Zenopians will be pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone, taking on the physical challenge of a Tough Mudder!
The course is around 5 miles, tackling 12 obstacles along the way, including wall climbs, cage crawls and lots of mud!
We are using this team event as a means to support Cancer Research UK, seeking to fundraise as much as we can for its life-saving research and meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by cancer. This charity also resonates for Zenopa as we support a large number of businesses within the healthcare & diagnostics industry involved in cancer diagnosis, testing & personalised medicine products.
Cancer Research UK funds scientists, doctors and nurses to work towards prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Funding supports something as big as a new research centre down to the small glass slides that are used to analyse cancer cells.
Over the last 40 years, cancer survival in the UK has doubled. In the 1970s just 1 in 4 people survived their disease for 10 years or more. Today 2 in 4 survive.
Cancer Research UK’s ambition is to accelerate progress and see 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
