Story
Hello,
I am aiming to complete Tough Mudder this Saturday in Heaton Park, as part of a team from Warburtons, raising money for Cancer Research UK.
This has been an important reminder to me that you should always do your research first. The idea of a 10k run with a few obstacles thrown in sounded like a good idea when I was asked and agreed to do it. I should have checked the website first.
The first thing you notice on the website is that no-one appears to be enjoying themselves. In fact on the whole they look pretty miserable.
Then you see the obstacles, which are called things like 'electro-shock therapy' and 'arctic enema'. They seem to fall into 4 categories: 'ice cold water', 'electrocution', 'claustrophobia' and 'physical exertion that takes you to the edge of injuring yourself'.
Oh and its forecast to rain all day on Saturday.
Anyway, I've said I'm going to do it so I'm doing it. I'd really appreciate it if you'd make it all seem a bit more worthwhile and donate to Cancer Research via this site.
The generous people at Warburtons will match your donation, meaning every £1 you donate is worth £2 (and don't forget gift aid as well!) , so please dig deep :)
Thank you so much for your support.
Paul
