Story
As some of you know, my dad was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer earlier this year and has been undergoing treatment including chemotherapy.
I am taking on the 10K Tough Mudder challenge to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
As a doctor who has worked with many oncology patients over the years, I’ve seen the impact cancer and it’s treatment can have on patients and their families and now having experienced it on the other side I can truly appreciate how devastating cancer is to many families across the world.
Oncology research is rapidly developing with so many new therapies being introduced over the last few years but I believe there is so much more we can do.
I hate running, i hate the mud and i hate the cold but my dad has been so brave throughout all his treatment so i am taking on this challenge to raise awareness. If you can’t donate then please share and please get yourself checked and encourage your family to do the same.
